Local, coastally grown Seagrass is intricately braided to create this stunning, eco-friendly laundry basket. The geometric knotted pattern is achieved through a six-strand Macrame performed by our masterful craftspeople. (Getting this art right takes skill and patience, with each piece taking as long as 12-16 hours to ceate and the end product, of course, well worth the time and effort!)
We could stop there, but we believe in pushing the envelope. This is why we’ve topped it off with a stunning, moonj coiled handle that adds to the relaxed Bohemian inspired design aesthetic and also makes this piece extremely durable and portable.
Fun Fact
Moonj is the outer layer of the grass that is peeled and knotted, and the practice of making Moonj-coiled products for everyday use has been around for the past 60 - 70 years in the rural parts of India.
Seagrasses are also labelled as ecosystem engineers. This is because a square meter of seagrass produces up to 10 litres of oxygen per day.

Care Instructions
• Spot clean as needed using a damp (not wet) cloth with plain water. Don’t use soap or any other cleaning products as they could damage or fade the product.
• And if required, dry in Shade.
• To remove crumbs, clean the product with a soft bristle brush.
• Avoid pulling on loose yarns. If necessary, clip them to be even.
• Blot to remove excess water and air dry.
• Due to the natural materials used and the handcrafted construction, each placement will vary slightly in terms of colours and dimensions. It is as unique as you!
